Amazing effects, good action, good acting, fast pace

It was a nice distraction from the currently worldwide catastrophe in which we live. I liked it.

Formulaic, relies on coincidence/contrivance, rushed unscientific ending

First, I like the actors. The characters were likeable and believable. The story didn't drag on and got to the point. While it is hard to watch yet another story about the demise of the planet, the comet's part in the movie was great. I jumped a few times when they landed. While I was entertained enough regarding their struggle to get to Greenland, there was no build as to how life in the bunker was. Overall, it was enjoyable, entertaining, and the acting was good.
