It was a very sad movie to watch and to see what somebody actually went through and the abuse that was taken thank God for the attorney that help this poor individual through his crisis what’s the story of what happened to him it’s truly horrible

While some characters were flat, Tahar Rahim brought Mohamedou Salahi to life, in a multi-dimensional portrayal that leaves you wondering what to do when the good guys aren’t as good as they seem.

It is intense and heart wrenching and worth viewing if you are unaware of anything about Guantanamo Bay or military retention camps but it wasn't as politically or militarily balanced as it should have been. The real life fervor backdrop post 9-11 isn't well defined either. Having such big name actors as Foster detracts from the movie's message overall because you never suspend your disbelief to have her disappear in the role. The fact she is skeletal is distracting. The casting of the younger female is also a distraction. Cumberbatch is too recognizable. The lead actor is strong and babyfaced and it is a retelling of the person he plays experiences. Actual documentaries also should be viewed for a comprehensive understanding about what was sanctioned including what brought it all about here and elsewhere.

Very good story told. I’m not sure if all of it is true or if the main character on trail is innocent. The story was laid out well and the acting was great. If it is accurate American has some forgiveness to ask for.
