Well done

Fascinatingly personal look at the horrors of Guantanamo and the horrors of "enhanced interrogation techniques". Jody Foster does her usual brilliant acting performance and Benedict Cumberbatch does an amazing job as someone from southern US. The true star, of course, however is Tahar Rahim as Mohamedou. His performance is truly revelatory. All in all I would highly recommend the movie My only regret is that I was unable to see it on a big screen due to the times.

The movie was enjoyable, with just enough suspense. A combination of racial tension, compassion, and dedication to the truth are infused to keep the viewer questioning the government, peers, and self. Can be viewed multiple times and find a missed “piece of the puzzle”.

It was a good film. Could have done without so much vulgarity but I also understand that was probably a depiction of reality, which is sad. It made me think about how government handles certain situations and how it could be handled differently, and more justly.
