I found the Black Phone very predictable and not scary at all. The motivations of the grabber are murky. Many plot holes.

Nicely put together period piece (1978). Good characters, good tension. It is a horror movie, but not a slasher movie.

Good Ending

It was a good movie. Definitely more thriller than horror and I appreciated that there was not a lot of blood and gore.
