What an unexpected film! I didn’t know what this film was about until minutes before viewing it. In the beginning I did t like ALL the subtitles. I lost my connection with 25 mins left in the film! I was so upset! I had already INVESTED almost 2 hrs in watching it.... and I had to answer a call. I was desperately trying to reconnect, and then had to wait about 10 mins for the link to FAST FORWARD to where I left off. And when I say desperately.... I really mean desperately because I actually was yelling at my phone “ohhh come on and reconnect! I gotta see what happens !!!” I actually had mixed emotions while watching this film. And I wasn’t sure WHY I felt guilty for being HAPPY for Slahi nearing the end of the film. By the way, THANK YOU FOR the last 3 movie screenings! (Songbird, Greenland, And Mauritanian) Amid COVID and shutdowns/closures.... this is the next best thing to watching a movie in the theater! Makes me FEEL kinda NORMAL! THANK YOU!
