Too much insincere drama; not enough action and no comedy.

It was ok. Good performances, good effects. I did appreciate the focus on empathy and generosity-- characters making sacrifices and putting others first, etc-- as a strength rather than a weakness. However overall, the film just wasn't original enough to make it stand out for me. It must be difficult to make a disaster film that stands out from everything else since there are so many ideas taken already.

Heart-pounding as those chosen to escape to a safe place while a comet approaches Earth, most likely a life-ending event for civilized world. A mix of scenes reveal the best and worse natures when chosen and unchosen recipients clash.

I would love to have seen the whole movie but my device died and I lost out on seeing the finally half of the movie
