It helped to teach a lot about the crookedness of the justice system and that there are people who are innocent but charged with a crime.

This film was VERY well done. The casting was perfect and every single character had room to breathe on screen. The characters and plot were developed beautifully and the entire film had a perfect pace. This historic story was told in a way that honored the work of Stevenson and revered the strength of Johnnie D.
