Very entertaining. Moments of humor with a good balance of serious times. I like movies with characters that show emotional growth and this movie has that.

Enjoyable; not sappy or predictable Good performances by Mindy and Emma Thompson. Glad it didn't turn into a Rom-com.

Overall movie was great. There were several times though where it just was slow.

It is well-written and fun. There were perhaps some logical flaws here and there, and the secondary characters were not very well-developed, but generally in the spirit of a feel-good movie, I thought it was very entertaining with a dash of enlightening. I love Emma Thompson in this role, and Mindy Kaling is delightful. I like it that Mindy brings issues of privilege and inclusion/exclusion into her stories in an accessible way, and that her plucky heroines always persevere despite setbacks and moments of doubt. She creates great role models for young girls of color. Go, Mindy!
