All of the cast is phenomenal, however, Danielle Deadwyler deserves an Oscar! The way she embodies Mamie Till is mind-blowing. I will definitely recommend that families go see this film for the educational purposes and flat out great acting!

Powerful, moving, disturbing, informative. Amazing performances, great sets and costumes. Wonderful score. Thanks for a great opportunity to see a film on such a seminal, yet unjust, event in our nation's history and development. Could be required for high school and higher education lessons on the civil rights movement or race studies.

The story was well told while including small but significant details that added a personal touch to Emmett's story. Actors did an excellent job of drawing the audience as if they were there with the characters. Definitely recommend seeing this movie.
