Very powerful and disturbing. It shows that the US has not improved or changed in 100 plus years.Acting was superb, and photography mesmerizing.I hope it will and should get several awards,

An excellently told story of thoughtful people struggling to improve their lives during a very dark period in American history.

A well done ,movie. The South is still as backward now as it was then. Interesting.
