Beautifully realized but profoundly depressing. Extremely clever use of stop-motion throughout, especially for how it facilitates the sameness of many characters in the film (in conjunction with the voice acting decisions). Moving portrayal of the human experience and our search for both meaning and companionship.

It surprised me. I didn't think I was going to like it because it was computer animated, but it uses stop motion photography with puppets.I love that. It's a very difficult & time consuming idiom. The story takes you deep inside the character's mind. Very dark, tormented & surreal, like a Vladimir Nabokov or Haruki Murakami short story. I was totally entertained.

An unusual animated film but highly recommended really enjoyed it

Wonderful look at the vulnerability of being human. The production captured the human spirit—flaws and all, flawlessly.
