The movie dragged on too much and the sound quality when he was dying was not too good.. This movie made me feel depressed/sad and brought up past events that I want to leave alone in the past.

Too slow. It was meaningful though.

A well-intentioned ode to the land and to a woman who can 'land' on her feet and all strong women, who even the face of life-altering tragedy can be strong and resilient enough to triumph. She finds what is essential in her Thoreau moment: "Pray to what earth does this sweet cold belong, Which asks no duties and no conscience?"\rHOWEVER, this unfortunate film is drowning in bathos and cliche. For a film that should be moving the audience in quiet contemplation, it is instead over-scored in folksy ambiance, moving between portentous moments and dialogue riddled with bromides.

I kind of kept thinking this is like a lot of other films, but then it got 'good.' Not quite sure where it would go. But I enjoyed it.
