The director is the same one that directed 5th Element and Valerian clearly has some noticeable scenes reminiscent of 5th Element. Although some of the fight scenes were sloppy and the leads lacked chemistry at times, the film over all was enjoyable and I will watch it multiple times much as I have 5th Element.

This was visually stunning. Alpha station was really cool. Loved the opening montage which beautifully sets up the station and its symbolism. I waa surprised that the prescreening was in 3-D. I can highly recommend this be seen in 3-D. Over the past few years I have avoided 3-D screenings almost entirely because I feel like they're just a money grab. However Valerian is definitely worth seeing in 3-D.

I visually loved it.... it was beautiful to watch. I thought the characters and creatures were very well developed. The storyline was very good too. Great visual effects as well.

I really liked it. I did feel there were some missed opportunities that would have made it better. More of the other city's creatures should have been introduced. The dead 'Pearl girl' should have come back & the evil guy should have either met his demise or been shown in a prison where his henchmen he used to annihilate the others, were now reprogrammed & guarding him. Overall I give it a 4 and I'm going to see it again.
