Raw. It gave a sense that we all bury our emotions and hide ourvelves with our pain. So many women looked up to her and she helped a lot of girls who turn into women. She surrounded herself with people she trust. She reviewed herself to her fans. Growing up and surviving the hood is momumental. This would be great for high school class on black culture. I hear of people dealing with traumas and she definitely had to or is still. I would have loved to hear from her mother and hear what she thought of her.

It was enlightening, and emotional, but there's no synchrony to the content. It seems to jump around a bit.

A very good analysis of the underlying factors in her development which she had to overcome, and which eventually resulted in her success as a musician and singer. It is always interesting to go beneath the surface in people's lives to see how they dealt with problems and issues as well as the family dynamics.

The documentary itself was produced nicely. I enjoyed the colored cartoon moments. I think I expected to learn more about Ms. Blige, I feel the doc only highlighted things we already knew. But great documentary.
