Carrie Mulligan is WONDERFUL in this; captures the character's mania while also helping her feel grounded and connected to the journey she has set out for herself. The progression of her relationship with Ryan (Bo Burnham is also truly wonderful) and coming to terms with letting go of Nina is really great. However, i felt a bit let down by the ending. Al was held accountable but our heroine was still more or less erased. It was an interesting comment on the burying of sexual assault and the fault often laid on women. I think I just wanted more from the conclusion. \r

The movie ended in a totally different direction than anticipated. I found it very disturbing and would have liked more of the back story, as it might have helped justify/comprehend the intense behavior and reactivity demonstrated by Cassie

I think it was entertaining but lacked reality from how real-life characters would react in a similar situation.

Actually, I'm on the fence about recommending this film. It depends on the persons I'm talking to. I would recommend it to some people with caveats. The film involves many unlikable characters or characters who disappoint or are caricatures.
