Great movie!

A moving story and very disturbing portrayal of United States policies.

Tells an important story. Very compelling. A must see.

I grew up with JF films so anything she's in I'll watch. I read that the director does mainly documentary films. If that's true it shows. And no, it wasn't a big performance or Hollywood budget style film. I think a dozen actresses closer in age to the JF character could have done the part. But the main character, I can't think of many - except maybe Sir BK in his day. The young man playing the Mauritanian did an exceptional job. And his lines were witty, despite the atrocities his character suffered. I enjoyed watching a movie just to see it unfold, rather than be manipulated by the narrative. A good old-fashioned, well-told movie.
