Closed captions should be an option on ALL streaming platforms. Unfortunately I missed much of the dialogue.\r\rAnd whats with the numbers that hung out on the film which was a bit distracting? At first they were smack dab in the middle of the screen and then moved around.\rFocus Features was a disappointment. \r\rPromising Young Woman was an edgy entertaining film.

Enjoyed the movie until the end. Last 20 mins felt like they were not in sync with the overall tone of the movie.

Compelling story ringing with many sad truths. I think that some of the usual thriller tropes that were employed bog down how scary the reality of many of these situations were. Mainly things like the cliche use of tense strings scoring many of these "encounters" when the starkness of the situation would've felt heavier without it.\r\rSome moments also played out a little unrealistically, I mean you could argue everything really was, but I found the scene with the "repentant" lawyer to be a little contrived. Also the pharmacy karaoke session was a little long and unpurposeful.
