I liked a lot of different aspects of it but there were a lot of weird tone shifts that made me feel a bit disengaged

It is a very dark theme and disturbing but it did hold my interest. As far as recommending it to others, I might recommend to some but I'd be selective in who I recommend it to.

I couldn’t watch it because my internet kicked me off five minutes in and when I tried to rejoin I was told the link had been used on another device. Very disappointed.

if you like the series killing eve, promising young woman is from the same director Emerald Fennell. its a decent horror comedy for sure
