For the most part it was a solid film. Only gripe I had was the use of those "look at me, I'm an indie film so I have to use these stereotypical angles/shots that tell you I'm an indie film" angles and shots. I understand directors like to use them, but it almost makes me feel like the film is talking down to intentionally tell me it's an indie film.But other than that, it was a good film.

Acting was superb, but storyline was not as good as I expected. I think the story was biased in many ways. I watched a Billie Jean documentary 2 weeks ago which was excellent. Unfortunately this movie left out many key facts, thus slanting the story. For example, BJ's lover Marilyn sued her and lost, the judge saying it was pure extortion. Leaving it out made it look like Marilyn was a good person

I enjoyed the movie. I did not know about this true event and it was entertaining to see how it all played out. I would definitely recommend Battle of the Sexes.

The movie was so much more than just the tennis match. I had no idea on the story going on behind the scenes.
