Brilliant. Lovely cast, Dench’s best. Shed light, if not always accurate, on a little known facet of British history.

Wonderful story and wonderful movie

I loved the movie! It was charmingly funny with the British dry humour! Judy Dench is remarkable as Oueen Victoria! She portrayed an elderly womean who was tired of her royal role and longed for the warmth and sincerity that Abdul offered. The actor who played Abdul gave a truly convincing role as he met Queen Victoria's needs.

wonderful acting by the 2 principals and supporting cast. a story line that I, personally, did not know and found enchanting; I am now going to look at the history of this unusual relationship.
