I enjoyed this updated modern version referencing in its opening the original 1931 black and white Dracula. Nicolas Cage plays Dracula with over the top gusto, and Nicholas Hoult plays Renfiled his familiar, tired of providing bodies for his master. He wants to be a good guy and rescues policeman Awkafina from a drug dealer hit. Very gory, lots of action, not for kids.

Great cast, fun story and effects, even though the script could have been punched up a bit. We need more Nic Cage as Drac!

It ALMOST works - repeated SKA jokes were hilarious. Fun. Not always works. But fun and silly and fun twist on Dracula.
