Very interesting aspect of the movie the end I really enjoyed

Everything about the production and costume design were amazing. The story I feel like it needed more. Lobo really felt like he wasn't needed at all. I'm really hopeful of the new DC universe they are still going in the right direction. We just need to get over this slow hump and we should have a better story after these introductory stories.

I understand having to make changes from Woman of Tomorrow, and some I liked such as Lobo and Krem. However, what made the comic as touching as it did was the relationship Ruthye has with Kara, and compared to the book it felt like their dynamic barely scratched the surface. By itself, it serves as a great starting for Supergirl and delivers on the beats that build her character but sadly feels like it leaves Ruthye in the dust to accomplish that.

It was an okay movie. Definitely worth watching, but I'm not telling friends they have to run out and see opening day. I liked how she wasn't just God-tier the whole time and had to actually worry about getting hurt. Jason Momoa as Lobo totally stole the show however.
