Great acting, but wanted more in terms of the script. Some parts of the story line needed more depth. The two leads were great!

I thought the cast was charming, the writing was witty and sharp, and the wardrobe and soundtrack were great. I thought that the overall film was a bit formulaic and I thought the romance between Mindy and Reid Scott didn't have a lot of payoff. I thought it would have been better if there wasn't the shoulder kiss at the end and they just learned to work together well. Overall I enjoyed the film.

A funny, enjoyable movie that spotlights the current "young boys network" in Hollywood while poking fun at all its members. The jokes are scathing, but never mean-spirited, and they acknowledge that those who are entitled have merely participated in a system they did not create.The writing is superb, and Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling excel in their roles as mis-matched women who support each other in their shared mission to elevate comedy from a woman's perspective.

The movie started out alittle slow but picked up steam. The interactions between Thompson and Kaling worked and when Katherine Newbury (Emma Thompson) went with what she knew and believed that was when the joked and one liners were at their funniest. Even in this day and age the movie showed the struggle of women being successful in the men driven world of late night talk show hosts.
