It was good but not as dark as I wanted it to be.

Plot development was rather flimsy, even for a "superhero" film. While the overarching premise was okay, some of the early interactions seemed rushed. Drake's motivation is intriguing, but it could have used some fleshing out. I really like Riz Ahmed, but he came across flat. My biggest gripe would be the portrayal of Eddie Brock early on in the film, as he came across as more of a construction worker than an investigative journalist. Once the banter begins between Brock and Venom, all is A+

This movie was entertaining. It was very funny and had just the perfect amount of comedy to it. With that being said, it's more of a comedy then an action/superhero movie. The action scenes were good, but not great. The story line has missing pieces and mistakes. It was to fast paced and there was no adjustment period for some of the complications that characters encountered. Some of the cinematic shots were poorly done or unnecessary. I would watch it again, but only for a good laugh.
