I think it took a little long to get to the point. The part that was not cartoon was better. Cartoon was too much like what you watch every time Sponge Bob is watched on TV

Wait for video. I'm along-time SBSP fan but this was a REALLY sad script. The previews hinted at a lot of opportunities for great gags, but fell WAY short of delivering. Two-thirds of the movie was spent in normal cartoon mode. The extended cast is missing, and a regular show is funnier. I think only mild chuckles came out of the crowd during this one.

The kids loved it but I couldn't stay awake during the movie. It just wasn't funny like I was expecting.
