Hacksaw Ridge tells a moving story of private Desmond Doss, who saved 75 lives during WWII's Battle of Okinawa, though he refused to use a gun. It was well directed and the cast delivered the story amazingly. The audience cried; I did as well for there is a moral in the movie: courage and altruism do not need a gun! This film accentuates on the need to stop violence and senseless killings.

Intense, true to life and heartwarming with a touch of humor.

Will win the Academy award for sure. So real like! I know it was suppose to be as this was really what it must have been like during that war. So sad too.
