It was a decent movie, the ending was underwhelming. The acting was great though!

It had a good storyline with a great twist at the end. But i found it really funny to see a character in the movie wearing modern-day braces on her teeth . That really was so out of character for the movie. I liked how it introduced the religious beliefs of the different tribes and the wonderful scenery of Iceland and other countries in their travels. It would be a great documentary to see how that film was made .

I personally enjoyed this movie but this film won’t be for everyone (I guess that’s how an Eggers film goes though - some people walked out of the theater). Others were comparing it to The Witch and The Lighthouse whereas I was able to see it as it’s own thing and really got immersed in the story. Eggers has a way of telling folk tales that I really enjoy. I will be buying this when it gets released on blu-ray and will be rewatching this film in the future.

It started out slow for me. There was a long period of time where I was waiting for the buildup and excitement.
