Very well made and good story.

As a lifelong fan of the book, I can’t decide if I love it or hate it. I understand some deviations from the source material and I get the very important reasons why you would want to change Chani’s character, but such a big deviation from the source material is hard to wrap my mind around. Also it felt VERY rushed after the pacing of the first film. It feels like you shaved an hour out of it very crudely. The acting is spectacular and it’s visually stunning, but WAY too rushed.

Beautifully directed but the pacing is a little slow.

I thought it looked amazing and it was fantastic to see it in a Dolby Theater with the sound. It felt like the seats were vibrating with the thopters going. As a Dune reader, I was surprised that they left out a minor character because it would have explained a few things but I assume everyone is hoping for a Dune Messiah movie so let's see. (I hope one is made!)
