Once again, Carey Mulligan gives a masterful performance on the big screen and deserves all the accolades. #PromisingYoungWoman is hard to watch due to the tragic subject matter but it definitely brings its message across in a deeply satisfying way. I highly recommend it (with a trigger warning for #MeToo survivors).

I absolutely loved this movie, and I'm so glad I got to attend this screening. I knew it was something I had wanted to see when I first saw the previews for it last year. I loved the dark humor and the twist at the end! It felt like a love story between best friends mixed with well deserved revenge to those Cassie was targeting. It was heartbreaking, driven, and entertaining all at the same time, and I loved the slow build of the film. The ending was great, and even though it was morbidly bittersweet, knowing that Cassie was reunited with Nina seemed to leave me feeling satisfied in the end.
