Its a kids movie altogether. But it give ample moments for the people who grew up with pokemon to relive that excitement. Writing was predictable and cliche moments are all throughout. In the end it is fun family watch for pokemon lovers.

I'm not a Pokemon fan. I've never watched the cartoons or collected the cards. I've only played Pokemon Go. I think Pokemon fans will get more out of this film than I. That being said, I thought the movie was cute.
