I have been an Amy Winehouse fan since rehab launched in the US and have all the albums including Lioness. A voice among legends. The film captured her spirit and I feel the actress portrayed her beautifully. It wasn’t a documentary so I feel the use of actresses voice made since in that context. It let us delve a bit deeper into why she chose her hairstyle and who influenced her beyond singers (Nan). I loved it and the soundtrack was FIRE!!

Such a musical and emotional journey. Heartbreaking movie

The movie was able to capture the story of Amy in essence, but some topics could have a deeper development, such as the alcohol issues.

Unfortunately the projector in the theatre didn't work so we didn't get to see it. The employees were very apologetic & handed out passes for the theatre. But it was disappointing to expect to see this movie & it didn't happen for us...
