There wasn't a single redeemable quality to this movie. Not only is it embarrassing from every filmmaking standpoint, but also just extremely distasteful.

I simply can't look past how insensitive it is that this movie imagining a near worst case scenario for the pandemic we are currently living through was rushed into production and released during a month in which thousands of American lives are being lost to this virus on any given day. Hollywood will exploit anything. The various ways in which characters are surviving in this new police state normal are sure to inspire conspiracy theorists and the anti-government libertarian crowd. This is definitely the kind of story that can evoke further fear about quarantines. Ultimately, that's my problem with it existing right now. Highly dramatic fictional accounts of people struggling to keep their loved ones alive are disrespectful to those who have died and are dying every day. We're still in this thing. Now was not the time. The performances are solid (I rather enjoyed Stromare doing some mustache-twirling), and it's a nicely paced and tight propulsive thriller. The story itself is paper thin and the unlikeliness of the events all occurring in this neat little grouping of people is very eye-roll worthy. The script doesn't go beyond the surface and at all and has an extremely one-sided viewpoint. There's nothing truly interesting or of any value here. It's tolerable at best and harmful at worst.
