Interesting movie and learned that Progessor Marston invented the lie detector!

I wanted to like this movie more and despite the capable actors and potentially titillating material (never a guarantee for a good film), I became bored with the lackluster execution of the story and characters.

It seems that this movie would work better if it's meant to be satirical, but it isn't. The film seems horribly unaware that it and its characters are not as smart or clever as it would like to portray. The best parts of the film are those devoid of 2/3s of the main characters.
