Loved the concept of the movie. I never knew of the riot that happened in 1967. The movie felt realistic. Unfortunately, it shows that now much has change in today's society when it comes to racism and people in higher authority.

This is a very brutal film in the vein of "Roots" or "The Passion of Christ". It will bring strong emotions from people of color who feel that the same situation exists today between police departments and communities they serve. I lived through that year in Detroit as a 9 year old and I am the nephew of Albert Robinson who was the 41st person murdered in the riots So i may be biased.

Good movie & story, however, it is upsetting, as it should be, depicting one occurrence which happened at the Detroit Riots
