I overall ended up liking this film. It did a great job of showing the importance of friendship and the importance of cultural variety. It did this in a fun, lighthearted tone that was warming to watch. It ended up being quite a feel good movie. My biggest problem with this film is when it tried to implement too much drama. It just slowed the pacing down and felt out of place. It kind of ruined the nice, feel goodness that most of the film had. It also ended on kind of a sad note which is disappointing for a generally happy film.

This movie was one of the better one's I've seen lately. As a student at Columbia College Chicago, I've learned a lot about what to look for in a movie. It was well made, comedic and very enjoyable. I hope to see it again when it comes out in theatres!

I came away soothed by the story, performances & outcome. Having so much history glossed over was troubling.

A good mix of humor and poignancy.
