A bit '80's, but interesting as it got further into the story.

It's a campy little film that draws on the nostalgia of 80s teen / horror films. Ridiculous in nature but entertaining nonetheless.

Right amount of comedy, drama, and horror mixed into this film. It really also touches on other teen experiences throughout the film. The film does a good job of its pacing and delivery. Strong performances by the leads. The Lemmon brother who helped with exorcism really shines with his portrayal.

I really enjoyed this film, but kept thinking about how the film's description has the date wrong. It reads: "It's 1988..." yet the music, the costumes, the hair and everything else about it screams 1985-1986. Having grown up in the 80's I can tell you that big hair and horrible clothes came in starting in 1987 and 1988. A-Ha and Culture Club were not major groups by then. It took me out of the movie. That said, if you fix the date in the description, the film works! The homage to 80's comedy and horror, inc. John Hughes comedies and Heathers is a blast. The performances are a blast!
