Warm and heartfelt movie. I enjoyed it.

Coda was an excellent film about the importance of family. A young girl must decide to either pursue her dreams away from her deaf family or her obligation to her family as the coda of the family. Her family wants what’s best for her instead of themselves, which was heartwarming. Her connection to her family and her fear of pursuing her own dreams, which was encouraged by her teacher.

This movie is both jovial and necessary. The ASL is strong; the story line plausible; and the voices reasonable. // BEST SCENE: Bernardo and Ruby "fighting" until Emilia Jones surrenders to her Joni Mitchell.
