Wonderful movie! Took you through every emotion possible--emotionally draining, yet an elevation of the human experience at its best. I loved the "magic realism" of the movie, that Latin American/Latino writers/movie makers often bring to their work. I credit the director. That's precisely why it is important to have more ethnic/racial diversity and viewpoints in films and books .

Judging from the poster, one doesn't know what to make of it, but seeing it was a treat. It really deserved the Sundance Award. We Loved It!!!

Very touching

I thought this movie was fantastic. It was a great story. . . .it was sad but most of the movie was funny (quirky). The actors did a magnificent job. I took my 16 year old daughter and she thought it was a great movie.
