Pretty unrealistic to think Idris can fight off a 500lb lion with a knife

Very slow drawn out movie. Kinda B rated acting\rSorry but not a good movie. After the first half hour I was ready to leave

If you watch the first 15mins you'll know how it ends by the heavy use of foreshadowing. Otherwise, you'll spend the 2nd and 3rd acts angry at the writers for making characters so absolutely moronic in the face of a situation that doesn't warrant such stupidity. Also, the entirety of the movie takes place in an extremely short period of time, which makes the events even less believable.

The question posed was "would I recommend this movie to others"? I am a fan of Idris Elba, but this is not one of his best movies. The Beast will scare most people looking for a thrill, but it's so unbelievable that it could have been part of the Marvel group of fantasies. What you see in this movie you have probably seen before. Go if you must, but once was enough for me.
