I thought the film was well produced and provided a good insight into Mary J Blige's start to her career. I would like to have had more music in the film, through more clips of her recording in studio, and in live performances.

This was a wonderful look into MJB's journey to musical superstardom. The commentary provided great insights into her struggles and strength as she shared her personal and very emotional path from the projects of Yonkers to become the Queen of Hip Hop Soul. The animation was a little long at times but overall documentary was quite powerful.

I truly enjoyed watching this. It was emotional from beginning to end. I have been a fan of Mary since she first came out. To see her true story and how it really played out in her songs was amazing.
