This was a wonderful and refreshing film. The Era was portrayed well by the actors, the setting was realistic and Tessa Thompson was fantastic. She truly embodied the role and the mannerisms of women of that time. Her co-star delivered a strong support to her lead. I was pleased his performance as well. The two of them had great on screen chemistry. I must say I was pleased to witness such a lovely storyline with African American actors.
