I've seen many iterations of Superman movies, but this one had a layer of unpredictability. Having a pet made him more relatable for the human aspect. New superhero character development was a nice touch as well.

The Superman we've been waiting for. Good start of the DCU era, but because of that, it felt like the movie is holding back for a bit

I thought Superman was a fun Summer blockbuster. I think the film has a bit too much "James Gunn-isms" and breaks serious scenes up with too much comedy. Superman and Lex by the seem to have good chemistry, and I love seeing their rivalry build. Lois and Clark also have great chemistry. I think it kicks off the DCU well. Go in expecting a Saturday morning cartoon from the likes of the Super Friends. Final Score: 6.9/10
