It was a wonderful story, I enjoyed & related to it because back in high school, a friend was in a similar situation. He was the eldest of 5 and BOTH PARENTS were deaf. Upon translating for his parents daily, he helped raise his siblings as well. This movie reminded me of them. Sort of the same outcome and all. Thank you for sharing! And Take care! Much Aloha…

Really like it. Allowed a look into the world of the deaf and how much a family needed a hearing person to help them.

There's a lot of subtitles so you really have to pay attention, but the acting is top notch. I love when they stopped the music so we could feel the way the parents felt. Great movie! I would definitely recommend!

A great movie that gives you great insight into the struggles of a 17 year old Ruby who is struggling with trying to be a typical teenager and experience all that goes along with being a teenager. She just wants to go to college, sing, and experience first love. It shows how she shouldered the responsibility of helping the family with the business as an interpreter, a fisherwoman, and communicator
