It showed a side of Churchill that many people did not know

A largely routine biopic, with numerous cliches characteristic of the genre, save for a redeeming performance of towering strength and surprisingly subtle nuance by Gary Oldman that is worth the price of admission alone.

Absolutely superb acting by all the main characters. Oldman was challenging Churchill from start to finish in as compelling and convincing manner as ever seen. Bravo!

It's a good biopic, but it left me wanting more.
