Although rated R, I would not call this 'hard' horror, but more in line with like middle school/high school horror getting ready to move on to 'real' horror movies with more gore, violence, etc. \rPersonally, I liked it. It's a cute slumber party movie and wouldn't mind rewatching with friends. \rI have not read the source material, so I do not know how much gorier that might be, but as a first impression it was not bad!

It a slow burning movie but decent

I enjoyed it. Im a fan of the novel and i felt like it was pretty faithful. The end was kind of underwhelming but overall it was enjoyable.
