I heard that the film would be more on the heartwarming side, which it definitely was - as a film on its own, I liked it - it was a little fast paced at the end and felt like a rush to a cliche conclusion, but it was still enjoyable. As a testament to the Venom fandom, I believe it fell short - it was not as dark, nor was there quite as much struggle between Eddie and Venom as I expected. All in all a good movie - not what I expected, but enjoyable.

Venom was just okay. Not terrible but not great. Everyone already knows the story going into the movie. The script could have been better
