All star cast but the story felt a little rushed out. Too much going on and noting really happens to keep my interest. My wife had high hopes that at least it would be bad enough to ne funny. It just ended up being boring. Didn't add any insight to the Covid story we are all still living in. Meh

It wasn’t as interesting as I thought.

We feel that is a bit to dark at this time. I could see this being made a couple years ago, which there are many movies tied to viruses. But calling this to the Covid name is to much. With everyone looking for all this to be over, this movie just makes it look like the worst is right around the corner. We did watch it all as Bay in the Production roll we gave it a chance. The cast worked, the location worked, the topic I just find not appealing right now. Next.

It was ok. I would probably give it 2.5 stars if that option was available. The characters were likable, if not fully realized. I was rooting for Niko, his star-crossed love, Lester and his merry band of misfits. Overall, it seemed like the movie missed the mark, not truly developing the characters and keeping the story super simple with some obvious caricatures (Hello Rambo wannabe! Where the hell did you come from?). In the end, the movie tried to make us believe that life was so much better for everyone now that these two lovebirds had escaped the terrible big city. Yet, nothing really changed for anyone else (except that two repugnant people were no longer around causing pain and death). It just seems like there was an opportunity to say, hey all those people living in quarantine areas that are still alive are probably immune. Immunity may not be as rare as we all think. What does that mean? But, the movie didn’t go that far, choosing instead to keep the story lite and the characters pretty predictable and not very complicated. And I don’t get the title. Maybe I missed something, but nothing about this movie makes me think of songbirds. Thanks for the showing.
