Great film on the pervasiveness of rape culture and how the pursuit of revenge can be antithetical to healing after trauma. Mulligan gave a tour de force performance and it was directed well. The casting of stereotypically “approachable” actors as the offenders was brilliant. I’d recommend this movie to almost anyone.

I watched this movie with my older brother and it made us re-evaluate our approaches and interactions with women over the years. It served as an eye opening perspective about how even "nice guys" can perpetuate toxic and dangerous behaviors'.

I thought PYW was an excellent movie. The cast was great. I especially like Alison Brie and Bo Burnham in their roles as outwardly caring yet deep down complicit and hateful. Carey Mulligan's performance was full of heart and depth. \r\rI watched this movie with my girlfriend. She felt quite panicked throughout, and had to step away for a moment while "the video" from Madison's old phone was playing for Cassie. This is an important movie. I would let survivors of sexual abuse and assault know that this movie could be triggering for PTSD.
