It's a light-hearted movie that lets you escape for a couple of hours. A few good laughs.

Life of the Party is a nice little comedy without much dare to it. There are a few good and very funny moments, but most of the film is just syrupy sentimental scenes about what's important in life.Melissa Mc Carthy is really good in it, in all the nuances of her character, most of the others are average or stereotyped, but fit the mood.A good movie to watch on your TV or Pay per view.

Melissa McCarthy is funny and beautiful, but this is the same movie they make her do over and over,where she draws laugh from falling and getting punched..she is so much more fun than that. As far as this movie Maya Rudolph has the funniest lines.
