A true tale of noble revenge! There is nothing that family won't fight for and this movie embodies that from beginning to end. The characters were strong and play a key part of the overall plot. I learned to never mess with a Northman.

Could have left out the fantasy part of it

As it is kind of becoming Eggers trademark, you either love or hate his movies. This is an epic, mythological, great photography… It is definetely not\rtrying to be realisticly accurate.\rIs it slow at times, kind of weird,\rand brutally shocking? Yes…that is an Eggers film as it core. Be aware of that.\rIs it a very enjoyable, compeling,\remotional, dramatic and\rsomehow fantastical film about revenge: it is. \r

If you like Norse/Viking stories, it was well done. Gory at a times like many are. Well casted. Good story.
